Our After School Program isn't a holding place- it's a safe, steady landing where your child can exhale, be themselves, and feel known.


We know these children have spent all day following rules, raising hands, and walking in lines. So in the afternoons, we offer them

structure with freedom, activities with choice, and supervision with relationship.

The Stepping Stone After School Adventure Club (SAC) is a safe and fun space for your school-age child to play with peers inside and outside, enjoy special activities, complete homework, and grow.

Meet Our School Age Teachers

Valerie Roberson — Tyler, TX — Stepping Stone School

Ms. Valerie

Director of School Age Children


With over 40 years of experience teaching all ages, 16 of them with Stepping Stone. Ms. Valerie has her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and is certified to teach PreK through 8th grade. She has taught in public & private schools in Oklahoma, California, Ohio, and Texas.

Ms. Kerri

Ms. Kerri started working in childcare in 1992. Working with children is her calling, and passion. Outside of work she is usually spending time in nature, playing with her animals, and spending time with family.

Ms. Zeara (Zee)

Ms. Zeara, Zee, has been teaching for 7 years. 5 of those years have been here at Stepping Stone. She earned her Associate's Degree in Mathematics and Applied Science from Tarrant County College, and she is currently attending LSU Online, where she is pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Education. She is passionate about creating a fun,  welcoming, and supportive environment where every child can learn, grow, and feel successful.
