Stepping Stone has demonstrated a dedication to quality care that helped achieve National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) in 1994 and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) in 1998. We are also currently Texas Rising Star Certified.
Family Partners
Stepping Stone Family Partners is an organization that sponsors public community awareness programs. It also serves as a link between our administration, faculty, parents, and community. These key communicators sponsor community awareness programs as well as special events and projects.

Meet Our Team
Camille Brown
Executive Director
Camille began her career as a kindergarten lead teacher in a private school in Tyler in 1966. She taught reading in public and private schools and directed two preschool programs, which she founded. Camille is also involved in numerous national, state, and local professional and civic organizations. Her hobbies include reading, fishing, gardening, and flying. She has four children, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Valerie Roberson
Assistant Director & School Age Care Coordinator
With over 40 years of experience teaching all ages, 13 of them with Stepping Stone. Valerie Roberson has her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and is certified to teach PreK through 8th grade. She has taught in public & private schools in Oklahoma, California, Ohio, and Texas.
Nicole Davis
Administrative Assistant
Nicole Davis has been with Stepping Stone 2 years and has over 10 years of experience working with children in a school setting. Her desire is for every child to feel special and for every parent to know their child is being taken care of.

Ms. GeeGee
Ms. Angie "GeeGee" is CDA certified with over 20 years of childcare experience. She has been with Stepping Stone for 16 years and is very passionate about caring for each child. When she is not at Stepping Stone, she enjoys spending time with her son.

Ms. Erica is CDA certified, with a total of 14 years of childcare experience. Ms. Erica has been with Stepping Stone for 5 years, and loves watching each child learn and grow!

Ms. Zyon has been working at Stepping Stone for 2 years, and is currently working on her nursing degree.

My name is Shamyia (Myia) , I have been in childcare for 20 years and have 3 beautiful children. I was born in Tyler, Tx ,but grew up in Longview, Tx . I love to fish, read and most of all spend time with my children.
Ms. Alyssa
Ms. Alyssa has been babysitting, taking care of Sunday School, and more since she was a teenager. She has been teaching in childcare for about 11 years, with 2 children of her own.
Ms. DeAnna
Ms. Deanna (DeDe) has 17 years experience in childcare, 15 of which she has been at Stepping Stone. She loves teaching and in her spare time loves to cook and spend time outdoors.

Ms. Tracy has 10 years of experience in childcare, 2 of which is here at Stepping Stone. She is a wife, mother and grandmother. She loves spending weekends with her grandchildren, traveling and staying at home relaxing
Ms. Sandra
Ms. Sandra is CDA certified and has been working in childcare for 40 years, 9 of them with Stepping Stone. She has 2 children and a granddaughter and enjoys spending time with family.
I am Miss. Kayla B, I have my CDA and have been in Childcare for two years. I love working with chickadees (kids). I am a dog mom to a little cute but naughty Shih Tzu named Rylan. I am the oldest out of my two other siblings. Last but not least my mom ,Mrs. Keisha, also works here at Stepping Stone.
I am Ms. Carol, I have been with Stepping Stone for 20+ years. I have my CDA and enjoy teaching and learning with two and three year old's.

Ms.Pat has worked in childcare for 10 years. She grew up in Arkansas, but has lived in Texas for 32 years. She loves to play Volleyball and Softball.

My name is Mrs. Keisha, I have worked in childcare since 1998 and love working with kids. I have been married since 2000 and have 3 beautiful children. My daughter is also a teacher at Stepping Stone, Miss. Kayla B.
My name is Ms. Marrion and I have been teaching for 35 years, 17 years being with Stepping Stone. I have an Associates in Elementary Education with a minor in Art. I love working with children and having lots of fun. I have one daughter, Maalesha. I love collecting recipes and being on Pinterest. I pray each and everyone of you have a great school year.

Miss Lynda
Mrs. Lynda has a bachelor's in Elementary Education and has been teaching at Stepping Stone for 25 years. She was awarded the TAEYC Teacher of the Year, Pre-K Division, in 2002; Tyler Area Golden Apple Teacher Award in 2007 & 2008; and the Frogstreet Press Teacher of the Year in 2010.
Miss Lexie
My name is Miss Lexie, I was born in Louisiana, but I grew up in Tyler. The owner and Executive Director of Stepping Stone, Camille Brown, is my grandmother. Just like your child, I have grown up at this school. I attended Tyler Junior College and received an Associates in Early Childhood Education, a Pre-K teaching certificate, Administrative Credentials, and an Associates in Childhood Development. I also attended the University of Texas at Tyler and received a Bachelors Degree in General Business. This is my 8th year teaching at Stepping Stone!
Mrs. Tracy
Mrs. Tracy has been teaching for 23 years and has been with Stepping Stone for 3 years. She has an Associates Degree in Business Administration, CDA in Early Childhood Education and her Teachers Training License.

I have been working for Stepping Stone for 6 years. I work with all ages groups. When I am not working I enjoy doing arts & crafts especially drawing. I like to ride my bike and take hikes. I like the country and love to take a drive in the country and see the different sites.
Ms. Eliose
I have been a teaacher with stepping Stone for 45+ years. I greet families in the mornings and give teacher's lunch breaks. I also have a three year old class at 2 p.m. and give them snack and take them for recess.

My name is Ms. Jaicee and I have been in childcare for 5 years. I help to guide your child through their growth phases and prepare them for their next class.

I have been teaching for 20 years. I have my Associates in Early Childhood Education. I have been with Stepping Stone for 1 year. I am the Assistant PreK Teacher, I also am in charge of the Stepping Stone Facebook Page. I also take all the pictures for Stepping Stone.

Ms. Kayla has been in childcare for 5 years, 4 of which have been at Stepping Stone. She has worked in every age group and is the Montessori Math teacher, as well as an evening Pre-k teacher.
