Our award-winning “Frog Street Pre-K” program includes a vast curriculum across all developmental areas for your child. Each lesson is a short, theme-related activity packed with fun and meaningful content.
We understand that each child learns at their own pace, which is why we work individually with our students to master skills before introducing new ones.

Activities & Curriculum
Brain Gym
All our teachers incorporate optimal learning techniques from Brain Gym in their daily classes. In fact, our Executive Director Camille Brown, is a licensed Brain Gym Consultant.
Extracurriculars
We are known for having a great time at Stepping Stone. Your little ones will enjoy activities throughout the year like dance, swimming, tumbling, tennis, and so much more.
Montessori Math
All students 3 years and older attend daily Montessori Math classes taught by certified Montessorian, Michelle Davis. Get your children interested in learning today.
World Language
Introducing your child to a second language is known to foster positive, intelligent growth, which is why we have bilingual staff who teach Spanish and American Sign Language.
Meet our Pre-K Teachers
Mrs. Lynda
Mrs. Lynda has a bachelor's in Elementary Education and has been teaching at Stepping Stone for 20 of her 38 years as a teacher. She was awarded the TAEYC Teacher of the Year, Pre-K Division, in 2002; Tyler Area Golden Apple Teacher Award in 2007 & 2008; and the Frogstreet Press Teacher of the Year in 2010.
Ms. Lexie
My name is Miss Lexie, I was born in Louisiana, but I grew up in Tyler. The owner and Executive Director of Stepping Stone, Camille Brown, is my grandmother. Just like your child, I have grown up at this school. I attended Tyler Junior College and received an Associates in Early Childhood Education, a Pre-K teaching certificate, Administrative Credentials, and an Associates in Childhood Development. I also attended the University of Texas at Tyler and received a Bachelors Degree in General Business. This is my 8th year teaching at Stepping Stone!
Mrs. Tracy
Mrs. Tracy has been teaching for 23 years and has been with Stepping Stone for 3 years. She has an Associates Degree in Business Administration, CDA in Early Childhood Education and her Teachers Training License.
